Bring The Suede to your "Home"-Town...

RS and I have the travel bug...and we want to try something completely new for us. RS and I often talk about how much fun it is to just grab a couple of guitars and hang out with some good friends and make a night of it. Then we thought, well why can't we just do that on tour?

So we came up with this idea....

The CSB "Home"-Town Tour

A series of intimate, "in-home" acoustic shows with RS and RY, hosted by members of the Cherry Suede Brigade.

This can be in living rooms, basements, backyards (who doesn't like a BBQ?) and even a campfire. The more unique the better!

RS and I will show up with our guitars and play and meet everyone.

Now, we're not talking about just hosting a party with live music. We're talking about a personal concert for a limited group of people. The atmosphere of bars and clubs doesn't allow for us to really get to know everyone. We want this to be different.

This way, we can be more intimate and interactive and you'll be able to hear every note and make personal requests. You choose the songs.

Read on if you'd like to be one of our "Home"-Town hosts.

It doesn't matter where you're from... we'll do our best to organize the shows so we can get to each and every town. This means we might have to be flexible with dates. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone.

And yes to all our fans in the UK, if we can set up a handful of shows out your way, we'll hop on a plane and make it happen!

What does it mean to be a "Home"-Town Host?

Here's a rough outline of a "Home"-Town show ...

  1. A time is scheduled with the host for us to perform at your home or some other location.
  2. The host promotes the event to friends, neighbours, co-workers etc (Average size is 25-40 people but no more than 150 or the personal atmosphere is lost) a room that is 12' by 20' can hold about 30 people. 25 people minimum is preferred.
  3. On the day of the show, the host prepares a room for the concert, by removing a few pieces of furniture and setting up ample chairs and bar stools. Basement and backyard shows are also possible...
  4. Guests donate a suggested amount (usually about $20 per person) to the artist, and in turn each guest sees the show and a receives a limited-edition signed tour CD.
  5. The host organizes social time before and after the show so we can meet everyone!
  6. We'll play two 40 minute sets with a short break in between.
  7. The host provides a small area for merchandise and extra CDs.
  8. The host provides an overnight guest room since we'll be on the road. We'd also love to try any of the local food specialities.
  9. We would love the host to provide a guided tour of your town. We want to see the sights and film it so all the other CSB members can see.

We want this to be a way for us to meet many CSB members that we might not get to meet due to tour restrictions. So if you can get a group of people together, send us an email and lets see what we can do!

To look into becoming a "Home"- Town Tour host, just send and email to RY with "Home"-Town Host as the subject.

Can't wait to meet all of you!
